Bio Notes: Eric Kingdon Rowe was born in Hampstead in London in September 1888. In 1905 he was articled to H Leon Cubache but after two years this was terminated and he spent the remaining three years with Sir John James Burnet in Glasgow. During this period he attended classes at Glasgow School of Art. During the session 1910-11 he appears to have spent some time attending classes at the Architectural Association and at some point also at Southend Technical College. In the latter year he took a post as assistant in Oregon in the United States. Between 1912 and 1915 he travelled in the United States and Canada and spent some time as an assistant architect to the school trustees in Vancouver.

From 1916-19 he served with HM Forces. After the war he returned to the United Kingdom and settled in London. There is no record of his death in England suggesting he returned to work abrad in his later years and died there.
