Bio Notes: Roderick Desmond Lee was born about 1932. He studied architecture at the Polythechnic in London. His first post was as an assistant with Frederick G Frizzell, followed by a spell in the LCC Architect's Department. He then moved to work with the large international firm, the Trusteel Corporation and later to Gilbert Ash as chief architect. In 1970 he commenced business on his own account as Roderick Lee Associates, which became RDA Architects bsed in Goldaming.

Outwith his professional life Lee was interested in motor racing and in the later 1970s gained his commercial pilot's licence and ran his own small airline, based in Guernsey.

Lee died on 15 October 1990, survived by his wife, Michela and his four children.
