Turner studied at Glasgow School of art and was elected ARIBA and ARIAS in 1962. By 1979 (and probably for some time before this) he had a post with Allied Suppliers (Prop) Ltd in Middlesex, though he perhaps only movd to Middlesex in the later 1970s. by 1984 he had returned to Scotland and had a post with GA Design Associates in Glasgow.
Turner died from heart failure on 9 November 2008 at Wishaw General Hospital.
