Bio Notes: David Millar was born on 18 July 1912. He was articled to Neil Campbell Duff in Glasgow from 1927-1932 while at the same time studying part-time at Glasgow School of Art, taking the certificate course. After he completed his articles he remained with Duff as junior assistant for a further two years. In 1934 he moved to the Glasgow Corporation Education Department and in 1937 he took a post as assistant with the practice C J McNair and Elder.

The years 1940-1946 were spent on military service. In 1946 he became a senior assistant with Noad & Wallace, and after two years moved to the practice of William Baillie & Son where he remained until 1951. On 26 July 1951 her he emigrated to Southern Rhodesia to a senior assistant position with Pallett & Price in Salisbury. He was accompanied by his wife and their two daughters.

Millar was elected LRIBA on 6 March 1955, proposed by William F Hendry, C R Knight and Lionel M Coote.

He is not listed in the Directory for 1979. No further information is as yet known.
