Bio Notes: Thomas Francis Armstrong was born in Portobello on 13 June 1889. He was a pupil of H Percy Adams from 1907. From 1911 until 1923 he was an employee of the Public Works Department, the Government of Bombay as Agency Engineer in charge of the District. In 1924 he returned to Britain and took a post as technical assistant (1st class grade B) with the LCC. From the following year he was in private practice in Kent. He was elected LRIBA on 5 March 1934.

He died in Watford between April and June 1971.
