Basic Biographical Details | Name: | Thomas Henry Corner | | Designation: | Architect | | Born: | 30 December 1915 | | Died: | Late 2001 | | Bio Notes: | Thomas Henry Corner was born on 30 December 1915 and served an articled apprenticeship with Archibald & Archibald of Middlesbrough, Yorkshire from 1 January 1932 to 4 July 1936. He then worked for Harry W Weedon of Birmingham until 16 April 1937 and subsequently for Robert George Roberts, Newcastle City Architect, until 26 August 1938. On the latter date he joined Middlesbrough Corporation Architect's Department. He was admitted ARIBA on 22 April 1941, proposed by R R Kittering, William Hascock and Richard James Archibald (presumably his former employer), who commented in his nomination papers that Corner had served his articles to 'great credit'. At that time he was still i the Middlesbrough office.
By October 1977, when he ceased to be a member of the RIBA, he was working for the firm of Crudens in Musselburgh.
