Basic Biographical Details | Name: | Charles Mitchell Cuthill | | Designation: | Architect | | Born: | 22 October 1909 | | Died: | December 2000 | | Bio Notes: | Charles Mitchell Cuthill was born on 22 October 1909 and studied at the School of Architecture, Edinburgh College of Art and Heriot-Watt College from 1925 to 1930, meanwhile working part-time in the office of Oldrieve, Bell & Paterson from 1925 to 1931. He was exempted from the RIBA Intermediate exam. In 1932 he moved to England where he joined the High Wycombe practice Thurlow & Lucas as assistant. He was still in the latter office when he was admitted ARIBA on 4 March 1941, his proposers being E A L Martyn(?) and R G Brocklehurst.
He resigned his RIBA membership in 1975, at which time he was living at Oakhall Cottage, Bartholomew Street, Hythe, Kent.
