Bio Notes: Ronald Jeffrey Rabson was born on 3 March 1928. He studied for the diploma in architecture at the Northern Polytechnic and was elected ARIBA in 1950, proposed by Thomas B Scott, Max Hofler, and R E Southern.

From 1950-51 Rabson had a post as assistant in the practice of Armstrong & Macmanus where he worked on the detailing of flats in Malta. In the latter year, 1951 he moved to a post as senior assistant with Hasler & Hall where he worked in Birmingham on the Stores Building for the Rover Car Company. From 1953 to 1954 he was with David Stern Associates and worked on a range of smaller jobs. In 1954 he joined the practice of Louis Erdi where he worked mainly on hotels and motels. Although most of the work of the practice was in England, thee was one motel which they designed in Edinburgh. His work included relationships with clients, design work, contract management, staff supervision and employment.

Rabson was promoted to principal in 1959, the practice name being Erdi & Rabson. He was sole principal from 1964. He was elected FRIBA on 17 July 1968, proposed by F Louis Erdi, Alex Flinder and Eli Abt. (check) .
