Bio Notes: Iain Alasdair Urquhart was born in 1943. He was initially a part-time student at Glasgow School of Architecture. He won RIBA Silver medal for his student project 'A Climbing School at Glencoe'. He completed his studies full-time Edinburgh College of Art. He was elected ARIBA in 1968.

He joined Livingston Development Corporation in 1970. Much of his work with the Corporation was concerned with recreational facilities and buildings.

He died on 30 August 1983.
