Bio Notes: James Brooks Thomson McColl studied for the diploma in architecture at Glasgow School of Art and was elected ARIBA in 1960. He was based in Paisley not long after qualification and had moved to East Kilbride by 1970 where he was presumably employed by the Corporation.

By 1979 he had a post with Strathclyde Regional Council, Deaprtment of Architecture and Related Services. However it would appear that he continued to live in East Kilbride. His last address was in East Kilbride. He died on 7 July 2007, survived by his wife Sheila.
