Basic Biographical Details Name: | Gordon A Wallet | Designation: | | Born: | c. 1956 | Died: | 19 March 2001 | Bio Notes: | Gordon A Wallet was born about 1956, the son of Gordon Wallet, marine engineer, and his wife Anne. He attended the Macklintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow between 1973 and 1978 and was elected ARIBA about 1980. He may have spent his year between part I and II of his degree at Glenrothes New Town Development Corporation as a person with his initials signed drawings there in 1976 and 1977. He was an associate in the practice Rennie Watson & Starling before 1993. In that same year he opened his own practice and was sole partner of A G M Architects which had offices in Irvine, Ayrshire and Tobermory.
Outwith his professional life Wallet coached rugby at Whitecraigs Rugby Club.
He died on 19 March 2001 as a result of being shot by a building contractor whose work, Wallet judged, was not up to standard.
