He was a student member of the RIBA from 1941. He studied for the degree of BSc in Architecture at Glasgow University. He was elected ARIBA in 1965. He was a partner with Park, Rowell, Baird & Partners which would appear to have had an office in Paisley. By the late 1970s the practice had become Roxby, Park & Baird. He was a member of the RIBA but not the RIAS.
