Bio Notes: John Robertson Struthers was born on 13 March 1913, the son of Robert Struthers, iron foundry pattern maker, and his wife Annie Isabella Anderson Robertson, an assistant baker. He was elected a student member of the RIBA in 1946. He was living in Glasgow in about 1948. He was elected ARIBA in 1951. He worked for Thomas Cordiner & Partners in the 1970s.

He died on 11 December 2002 at his home in Strathaven, survived by his wife, Henrietta Leslle Shuttleton, a retired general warehouse clerkess and his son.
