Bio Notes: Stewart Robertson was born on 10 March 1932, the son of Thomas Robertson, gardener, and his wife Catherine Miller. He was elected a student member of the RIBA in 1952. He studied at Dundee College of Art and was elected ARIBA in 1955. He was living in Fife around this time. By about 1957 he had moved to Bonchester Bridge, Roxburghshire but had moved back to Midlothian a couple of years later.

Robertson worked for Midlothian County Council in the 1960s. He may have worked for West Lothian County Council by the late 1960s. After local authority re-organisation he became an employee of Lothian Regional Council, Department of Architectural Services. He is not listed in the RIBA directory of 1984, suggesting he had withdrawn from the RIBA by then.
