Bio Notes: Gerald Mulholland Crossan was born on 22 November 1931, the son of Philip Crossan, jute yarn bundler and his wife Isabella Duffy. He studied for the diploma in architecture in Dundee and was elected ARIBA in 1957 and ARIAS in 1958.

He was Director of Architectural Services in Central Regional Council from the late 1970s. He took early retirement in 1996. He died at Forthbank Nursing Home, Stirling on 15 December 2001. He was survived by his wife, Edith Clark and their four daughters. Edith Crossan died in 2009.
