Bio Notes: Johnson Turnbull Architects which worked in association with the Johnson Turnbull Partnership was established by Colin Herbert Johnson and Wilfred Turnbull before 1979. Colin Herbert Johnson studied for the diploma in architecture at the University of Durham and was elected ARIBA in 1953. He was also a Fellow of the Royal Scottish Academy and a Fellow of the CIArb. Wilfred Turnbull studied for the degree of BArch also at the University of Durham. Johnson Turnbull Architects was based in Great King Street in Edinburgh and was run by Johnson. Johnson Turnbull Partnership was run by Turnbull and was based in Middlesborough. Adam Grant Gordon who was elected ARIBA in 1971 worked in the Edinburgh office.
