Bio Notes: William Ewing McWhirter studied at the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture in Aberdeen and was elected ARIBA in 1961. He worked for the Ross & Cromarty County Council Architects' Department in the 1970s. He retired from post as Deputy director of Architectural Services in 1994. He died on 27 February 1996, survived by his wife Gillian.
