Bio Notes: Douglas Hislop Herd studied at the School of Architecture, Edinburgh College of Art. He was the RIBA Recognised Schools Bronze Medallist in 1951 and was admitted ARIBA in 1954. In 1964 he was living at Meadowbank, Leslie, Fife. By 1972 he was a partner with Alison & Hutchison & Partners. He is listed in the 1984 directory but not in that of 1990 and he may have retired by then. Douglas Hislop Herd died in Mid Calder, West Lothian in 2016, aged 86
