Bio Notes: William George Brown studied for the Diploma in Architecture at the School of Architecture, Robert Gordon's College in Aberdeen. He was admitted ARIBA in 1948. Around that time he was living in rented accommodation in Aberdeen. He moved to Edinburgh in the 1950s and after intially working in partnership with Donald Punyer Whitehorn as Whitehorn & Brown, he set up his own practice under the style W G Brown & Co. in about 1960. The office was at 32 Chambers Street. By 1970 Brown had retired or died and the practice was run by F M Howie and A F D Macgregor. They had an office at 8 Morningside Road.
