Bio Notes: Fraser Anderson Young was born in Glasgow on 16 April 1929, the son of John Bertie Young, ship draughtsman (and later a shipbuilder's purchasing manager), and his wife Edna Pedder. He was elected a student member of the RIBA in 1952 and was elected ARIBA in 1959. Between 1960 and 1965 he becmae a partner in the Wilson Hamilton & Wilson practice. By 1987 he was working on his own as Fraser A Young, chartered architect. He was still in business as such in 1994 at the same address.

He married Ismay Stewart Miller, a medical technician, on 8 June 1955 at Scotstoun East Church. At that time he was a Lance Corporal with the Royal Engineers and was therefore doing his National Service.
