He worked for East Kilbride Development Corporation He was deputy chief architect to in East Kilbride Development Corporation when F C Scott was chief architect but left with Scott to form Scott Fraser & Browning in 1970 (check date). He is only credited with the letters TD (Territorial Decoration?) in the RIBA Directory. He was still working in Scott Fraser & Browning in 1981.
He died at Hairmyres Hospital on 9 May 2002. At that time he was a retired RIAS. His had been married twice, first to Mary Taylor and second to Mary Forbes.
