He was living in Glasgow about this time. He studied at the School of Architecture Glasgow College of Art and was admitted ARIBA in 1954. He had started his own practice, T M Miller & Partners by about 1971. He formed a partnership with S M Wallace, R S Burnett, E H Paterson and J A F Mochrie. By 1980 W S Cooper and I C Douglas had joined as partners.
