Bio Notes: George Richard Hill was born on 21 January 1920, the son of George Richard Hill, electrical engineer, and his wife Caroline Harriet Woodnutt. He was not a member of the RIBA. He would appear to have established a practice with Robert Russell Potter and Ian Watson Aitken Macdonald in Stranraer in the later 1960s.

He died at his home in Stranraer as a result of a house fire on 18 July 2005. His wife, Catherine Mitchell Ferguson had predeceased him but he was survived by his daughter.
