Bio Notes: John Hepburn was born on 5 August 1929. He studied at the School of Architecture, Glasgow College of Art. He was elected ARIBA in 1958 and ARIAS the following year. He was in practice on his own in 1970 and remained opractising as John Hepburn & Associates until the mid-1980s when he absorbed the practice Ross Lindsay & Partners the name becoming John Hepburn Associates. By 1979 he had been awarded the MBE. In 1989 the practice expanded having a variety of projects in hand including 4 new build housing sites, and a number of rehabilitation and associated street improvement jobs in hand.

Hepburn is no longer listed in the RIBA directory of 1994 and may therefore have retired by then.

He died on 20 April 2015.
