Bio Notes: Harold Winbourne was appointed supervisor in F W Woolworth & Co's Birmingham (Walsall) office in 1929. During World War II he gradually took over the responsibilities of the chief architect Bruce Campbell Donaldson, formally replacing him in that office in 1944.He retired in March 1960 and was succeeded by Douglas William Hardy.
