Bio Notes: John Woodburn was born on 28 July 1920, the son of Andrew Woodburn, electrician, and his wife Jeannie Prentice Robertson. He had a post in the Master of Works office in Lerwick in the 1950s but moved in 1953 to a post as Burgh Surveyor in Invergordon.

Woodburn died on 8 December 1991 at the County Hospital In Invergordon. He was survived by his wife Agnes Louden Robertson, their children and grandchildren.
