Basic Biographical Details Name: | David Crawford Ireland | Designation: | | Born: | 13 June 1907 | Died: | 16 August 1976 | Bio Notes: | David Crawford Ireland was born on 13 June 1906, the son of Adam Crawford Ireland, Sheriff Court attendant, and his wife Mary Alexander Hay. He was elected a student member of the RIBA in 1933. He worked for the Ministry of Works by 1948, becoming senior architect in the 1960s. However he does not seem to have been a member of the RIBA even at that time. He should not be confused with the much younger David Ireland.
He died on 16 August 1976 at his home in Lundin Links.
