He studied at the School of Architecture in Aberdeen. He was elected ARIBA in 1956 and ARIAS in 1964. He was taken into partnership by ___ Mackie and R A Taylor before 1970. He is still listed as working in the practice in 1986 but is no longer listed in 1996.
He died on 6 June 2000 at the Royal Infirmary, Aberdeen.
