Bio Notes: John Alexander Graham was born on 1 December 1913, the son of Charles Forbes Graham, linen factory worker, and his wife Isabella Gouk Gordon. He rose to the position of Burgh Architect, Montrose by 1952.

Graham died on 17 May 2000 at St Peter's Road, Montrose, adjacent to St Mary's and St Peter's Church. His wife Margaret Adam, had predeceased him but he was survived by his son. He was described at the time of his death as a retired burgh surveyor.
