He studied at the University of Glasgow and graduated BSc sometime before 1950. He was admtted ARIBA in 1948. In 1950 he was living in Renfrew. By 1959-60 he had a post with Glenrothes New Town Development Corporation. He would seem to have continued to work there until retirement.
