Bio Notes: Colin Walker was born on 5 October 1921, the son of William Walker, works manager, and his wife Muriel Gertrude Palmer. He studied for the diploma in architecture at Leeds. He was admitted ARIBA in 1948. About that time he was living in Sighthill in Edinburgh. He was admitted ARIAS in 1967. By 1970 he was working for Alison & Hutchison in Edinburgh. By 1975 he had moved to G R M Kennedy where he was a partner.

Walker died at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh on 14 July 2003 aged 81. His wife Margaret McIver MacLeod had predeceased him but he was survived by his son who lived in Innellan.
