Bio Notes: Alexander Scott was born on 25 August 1920, the son of Alexander Sturrock Scott, jute overseer and his wife, Elizabeth Milne Wallace. |He was a student member of the RIBA from 1946. He studied at the School of Architecture, Dundee College of Art. He was admitted ARIBA in 1949. By the mid-1950s he had been taken into partnership by David Harvey. The practice was based in Glasgow. He gave his home address in the 1979 directory suggesting he had retired by this date.

He died at the Western Infirmary Glasgow, on 12 January 2005, survived by his wife Helenor Moir Peddie.
