Bio Notes: Kenneth Ashmore Ramsden Purdom was born on 5 August 1924, the son of Reginald Ramsden Purdom, county assessor, and his wife Mary Teresa Mitchell. He studied at the School of Architecture, Dundee College of Art. He was admitted ARIBA in 1950 and ARIAS in 1962. He was a partner with the practice Cunningham Jack Fisher Purdom which was formed in the 1960s and of which John Colville Cunningham was the founding partner. By 1970 Purdom had been awarded the MBE. The practice later became the Jack Fisher Partnership.

Purdom died in Ninewells hospital, Dundee on 23 March 1983. He was survived by his wife Frances Jean Gibson Taylor.
