Basic Biographical Details Name: | George Thomas Lackie | Designation: | | Born: | 2 February 1918 | Died: | 28 December 1980 | Bio Notes: | George Thomas Lackie was born on 2 February 1918, the son of Thomas Lackie, gamekeeper, and his wife Marjory Russell. He was was admitted ARIBA in 1949. The following year he was in lodgings in Kirkcaldy but was working for Glenrothes New Town Development Corporation where he signed various drawings. He moved to a post with the Architect's Department, Glasgow Corporation in the early 1950s. In the late 1950s he was working for the Scottish Education Department. By 1969 he had moved to the Works Directorate Office in Dusseldorf. He returned to the UK and was living in Surrey in 1970. He had moved back to Scotland by 1979.
He was found dead in Blackford Hill Park on 28 December 1980.
