Bio Notes: Brian Geoffrey Falk was born on 8 September 1930. He was educated at Bryanston School Dorset and studied for the diploma in architecture at the Architectural Association in London from 1949-54. In 1952 he was awraded a Building Centre travelling Scholarship and in 1954 he won the Medal of the Société des Architectes par le Gouvernement, Paris. He was elected ARIBA in 1955. From 1956-58 he attended the Graduate School of Design at Harvard from which he obtained a Master of City Planning degree. He was a Lehman Fellow of Harvard College from 1957 -58. He became a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute in 1959.

In 1954-55 he worked in Cyprus for the practice Orman & Warren and in 1956-57 had a variety of summer jobs in the United States. In 1959-60 he took as post as assistant planner in the Planning Department of Cambridge County Council. In 1960 he was an instructor in Planning Graduate Studies at Harvard.

In 1961 he joined Covell Matthews. He was promoted to Associate in 1962, partner in 1966, Director of Group East African Practices in 1972 and from 1973-80 he was Senior Board Partner and Director of the overall Holding Company. From 1978-79 he was seconded to Nigerian Construction & Holdings Co. Ltd, Lagos, Nigeria as Technical Manager. He established Falk Associates Limited in 1980 but returned to Nigeria in 1981 working for two different companies. However he re-activated Falk Associates in 1986 which continued until 2010. During this period he was also Director of Moxley Jenner & Partners (London) and Director of the Thames Estuary Airport Company.
