Bio Notes: James Ramsay Ree was born on 8 August 1918, the son of James Ramsay Ree, baker, and his wife Robina Shepherd Herd. He studied architecture at Dundee College of Art. He was elected ARIBA in 1949. At about this time he was living in Forfar where he remained until at least 1954. He had moved to Edinburgh by the 1960s. He had a post with the City Architect's Department by the late 1970s.
