Bio Notes: James Findlay Rew was born on 21 June 1913, the son of William Findlay Rew, gamekeeper, and his wife Ann Chalmers. He was elected a student member of the RIBA in 1940 and ARIBA in 1948. In 1950 he appears to have been living in rented accommodation in Aberdeen. By the 1970s he was working for the Scottish Health Services, Common Services Agency, Buildings Division. n 1979 he was working in the Aberdeen branch. He is not listed in the RIBA directory for 1994 and must have retired by this date.

He died on 24 May 1997 survived by his wife Agnes MacGregor, a book-keeper.
