Bio Notes: William ('Bill') Gunn Crerar was born on 29 May 1934, the son of William Gunn Crerar, iron fitter and his wife Kathleen Edwards. He was elected ARIBA in 1959 and ARIAS in 1964. He commenced practice in Oban under the title William G Crerar Architect. In 1964 an office was opened in Stirling, in 1966 one in Lochgilphead, and in 1970 one in Inverness. In 1966 the practice became W G Crerar & Partners and in 1979 Crerar & Partners. In 1977 an office was opened in Edinburgh, initially with offices in the Darling Hotel in Princes Street later moving elsewhere in Edinburgh.

He was a member of the Glasgow Chapter of the RIAS. He died of liver failure on 14 December 2005, survived by his wife Jeanette Perry Graham.
