Bio Notes: Little is yet known of Ian Smith who was assumed into the Sutherland, Dickie & Partners practice in 1963. He was elected ARIAS in 1964. He studied at the School of Architecture, Edinburgh College of Art and was elected ARIBA in 1961. He left the practice in 1973. By the later 1970s he was working with Annandale & Eskdale District Council. He had retired by 1994.

He died in October 2013.
