Bio Notes: Angus McDonald Taylor was born on 17 September 1933, the son of William Alexander Taylor, police detective superintendent and his wife Eliza Crocket McDonald. He studied for the diploma at Aberdeen School of Architecture. He was elected ARIBA in 1958. Sometime before 1970 he was taken into partnership by Ian Thomson, Thomas (Tom) Craig and Robin Donald who established a practice in Aberdeen as Thomson Craig & Donald with an office at 59 Dee Street. The practice moved to Carden Terrace a year later. By 1970 the name had changed to Thomson, Taylor Craig & Donald. In 1979 David Miller was assumed into partnership, followed in 1980 by Alistair Hay and Charles Simpson and in 1984 by Donald Coutts and Frank Robertson.

Taylor died of calciphylaxis on 11 January 2007 at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. He was married twice, first to Lorna Bandeen, a retired secondary school teacher of home economics, and second to Fiona Stella Adams or Law, an artist.
