Bio Notes: Ian Thomson, Thomas (Tom) Craig and Robin Donald established a practice in Aberdeen in 1963 as Thomson Craig & Donald with an office at 59 Dee Street. The practice moved to Carden Terrace a year later. For a period (prior to 1983) Angus Taylor was a partner, the practice name changing to Thomson, Taylor Craig & Donald. In 1979 David Miller was assumed into partnership, followed in 1980 by Alistair Hay and Charles Simpson and in 1984 by Donald Coutts and Frank Robertson.

An office in Dingwall had been opened in 1968. A series of branch offices were opened from the 1970s onwards - Glasgow in 1971, Stornoway in 1973 and Edinburgh in 1990.
