Name: Cook & Anderson
Designation: Architectural practice

Bio Notes: Henry McClure Anderson was born c.1877 in Edinburgh. The details of his training are not known but the 1901 Census indicates that he was working as a draughtsman in an unspecified office in Edinburgh in that year. He married Margaret P Ross some time between then and 1910. By 1925 he had emigrated to Tientsin in North China, and was practising in partnership with Edwin Cook as Cook & Anderson, their office being located at 142 Victoria Street. It was in that year that he was admitted FRIBA, apparently without the need for proposers.
