Bio Notes: Kinsley Anketell Henderson was born on 15 December 1883 at Brighton, Melbourne, son of Irish-born architect Anketell Matthew Henderson (1853-1922) and his wife Mary Louisa, née Andrew, from England. He was articled to his father in 1901 and was taken into partnership in 1906, the firm becoming known as Anketell & K Henderson. In 1920-24 the partnership included Rodney Howard Alsop and M W Martin. The practice specialised in commercial office design.

Henderson was a Fellow of both the Royal Australian Institute of Architects and the Royal Institute of British Architects. In 1921-24 he was president and in 1934-35 vice-president of the council of the Royal Victorian Institute of Architects. He died on on 6 April 1942.
