Bio Notes: George Murray Wilson was born in 1869 or 1870, the son of George Ford Wilson, architects, and his wife, Isabella Calder. In 1922 he became assistant to Alex A Foote of Edinburgh, at whose office he remained until 1928. Foote described him as a 'fairly good man - little experience, but would not agree to work after hours, even though paid'. He was an Associate of the Edinburgh Architectural Association by 1930 or 1931, at which time he was practising from an office at 2 Charlotte Square.

Wilson died aged 65 on 1 June 1935 at the Royal Informary in Edinburgh. He was survived by his wfie Johanna Henderson and his son Eric.
