Bio Notes: Joshua Clayton was a native of Darlington. He trained with Kitching and Lee and commenced practice in about 1913. He became an important figure in public affairs and served on the Town Council from 1931 to 1946. He formed a partnership with Thomas Victor Deas in 1938. When he died in 1948, Deas continued the practice until the 1960s. Deas died on 11 July 1991.
