Basic Biographical Details Name: | Albert Ruddiman | Designation: | | Born: | 30 July 1908 | Died: | Before 1990 | Bio Notes: | Albert Ruddiman was born on 30 July 1908 and was articled to D & J R McMillan from 1924 to 1929, attending evening classes at Robert Gordon's College and passing the intermediate exam. He remained as assistant to the McMillan firm for two years after completing his apprenticeship, and this was followed by full-time study at Robert Gordon's College, where he received his diploma and passed the qualifying exam in July 1933. He was admitted ARIBA on 4 December 1933, his proposers being John Ross McMillan, Douglas Stuart McMillan and Robert Leslie Rollo. By the time of his application for admittance he appears to have set up practice at his home, 468A King Street, Aberdeen. His declaration accepting his Associateship was witnessed on 22 December 1933 by George Flett of 5 Seafield Street, Findechty, Banffshire, perhaps indicating that Ruddiman had moved there.
