Basic Biographical Details Name: | Robert Primrose Morris | Designation: | | Born: | | Died: | Before 29 August 1974 | Bio Notes: | Robert Primrose Morris attended day classes at Robert Gordon's Colleges, Aberdeen from 1921 to 1923 and continued to attend evening classes for the following three years whilst working in the office of Wilsons & Walker. He returned to full-time study in 1926, receiving his post-diploma in June 1927 and passing the Professional Practice exam in Edinburgh a month later. He was admitted ARIBA on 5 December the same year, his proposers being Robert Gordon Wilson Junior, George watt and William Edgar Gauld. His nomination papers give no business address, only a private one - Corthiemuire, Udny Station, Aberdeenshire.
At an unknown later date he was working in the Production Department of Scottish Malt Distillers Ltd in Elgin. In 1950 he was employed by this company in their Edinburgh office but the address he gives in the 1960 directory indicates he had moved to Morayshire. In 1965 he was working in their Elgin office. He retired on 28 August 1968 and spent the rest of his life at his home, Fir Tops, Craigellachie, Banffshire.
