Bio Notes: Andrew Rankine was articled to Thomas Frame & Son of Alloa on 1 August 1911. On 30 September 1915, after completing his apprenticeship, he was engaged on active war service, but he returned to the same office as assistant on 3 February 1919. On 2 March the following year he move to Hull to work for John Bilson. He passed the qualifying exam in July 1922 and was admitted ARIBA late that year, his proposers being Bilson, William Snowball Walker and Llewellyn Kitchen, all of Hull. At that time he was still working for Bilson.
