Bio Notes: John Yeats was articled to John Rust, Aberdeen City Architect on 4 March 1913 and attended classes at Robert Gordon's College. On completion of his apprenticeship on 6 March 1917 he undertook war service, at the end of which, on 21 October 1919, he joined Sutherland & George as assistant. He passed the qualifying exam in June 1921 and was admitted ARIBA late that year, his proposers being John Ross McMillan, Alexander Marshall Mackenzie, and George Watt, who in his supporting statement described Yeats as 'diligent in the use of his time both in the office and in the supplementary work of the School of Art'.
