Bio Notes: Reginald Neville Jackson was born in Australia on 2 September 18888. His family had moved there from South Africa but returned there when Jackson was about two years old. He worked as an assistant in the office of Burnet Son & Dick in London and in Glasgow in order to gain experience in hospitals. He travelled throughout Scotland during his time in this office, sketching during his vacations. While with Burnet he was engaged on the plans for the British Museum extensions; Bank of New South Wales in Threadneedle St; the Kodak Building in Kingsway; the General Accident Assurance Building in Aldwych and plans for the Great Western Hospital and the Royal Infirmary for Sick Children in Glasgow. He returned to South Africa in about 1913.

He was elected ARIBA on 5 December 1927, his proposers being Ernest Marston Powers of Melbourne, James Wallace Paton of South Africa and J J Eng…[unreadable].

Jackson died on 5 November 1953.
